Fixture Installation & Repair

Faucet, Toilet & Fixture Installation in Salem, OR

Does this sound like your situation?

If any of these match what's happening at your home, call us — we can usually diagnose over the phone and give you honest guidance on next steps.

  • Faucet dripping constantly even when fully closed
  • Toilet running continuously between flushes
  • Low water pressure from a specific fixture
  • Garbage disposal humming but not spinning
  • Bathtub or shower with slow or no water flow
  • Outdated fixtures you want replaced during a remodel

Most common causes

Worn cartridges and washers

The most common cause of dripping faucets — a small part, but getting the right one and seating it correctly takes know-how and the right tools.

Faulty toilet flapper

A worn or misaligned flapper lets water trickle continuously from tank to bowl, wasting thousands of gallons per year without any visible sign.

Improper original installation

Many fixture problems we see were installed without proper shut-offs, correct supply line sizing, or adequate caulking — creating slow leaks and early failure.

Age and mineral buildup

Salem's water chemistry wears out internal valve components over 10–15 years, causing drips, slow flow, and handle stiffness.

Garbage disposal jam

Disposals jam when hard objects lock the grinding plate. If the reset trips and the motor doesn't start, the motor may have failed and need replacement.

Fixture Installation & Repair in Salem, Oregon

A dripping faucet wastes up to 3,000 gallons of water per year. A running toilet can waste 200 gallons daily. These aren't just annoyances — they're money going down the drain every month.

Dale Kinsley handles all residential fixture work in Salem, Keizer, and the Willamette Valley, from a simple faucet cartridge swap to full bathroom fixture changeouts during a remodel.

Faucet Repair and Replacement

We repair all major faucet brands including Moen, Delta, Kohler, and Price Pfister, and stock the most common cartridges and stems on the truck. If your faucet is dripping, we can usually diagnose and fix it in a single visit.

When repair isn't cost-effective — older fixtures with discontinued parts or severe corrosion — we'll recommend replacement and help you choose a fixture that fits your space and budget.

Toilet Repair and Replacement

The most common toilet problems we fix:

  • Running toilet: Almost always a worn flapper or fill valve — a quick, affordable fix.
  • Slow flush: Often a mineral-clogged rim or worn flapper.
  • Rocking toilet: The wax ring may have failed, which leads to floor damage if left unaddressed.

We install all types of toilets including standard, comfort height, elongated, and dual-flush models.

Garbage Disposal Service

We install, repair, and replace In-Sink-Erator, Moen, and other major brands. Most installations take under an hour. If your disposal is leaking from the bottom, the internal seals have failed and replacement is more economical than repair.

Here's how we work the job

  1. Identify the failing component — cartridge, flapper, valve seat, or motor
  2. Source the correct replacement part (we stock common cartridges and valves on the truck)
  3. Install, seal, and test for leaks before leaving
  4. For new fixture installations, handle supply line connections, drain fittings, and shut-off valve installation
  5. Clean up and walk through the repair or new fixture with you

Frequently asked questions

Can I supply my own faucet or toilet for you to install?
Yes — we're happy to install customer-supplied fixtures. Make sure they're the correct fit for your rough-in dimensions. Let us know during scheduling and we'll confirm measurements if needed.
My faucet drips. Should I repair it or replace it?
If the faucet is relatively new and in good condition, a cartridge repair is usually the right call and extends its life significantly. Older faucets or those with corroded bodies are better replaced — parts are often discontinued and the labor cost approaches a full swap anyway.
How do I know if I need a new toilet or just a repair?
Most running or slow-flush toilets can be fixed with a simple internal part replacement. If the toilet is cracked, has an active base leak, or is an older low-efficiency model, replacement often makes more sense. We'll give you an honest recommendation on-site.
Do you install garbage disposals?
Yes — we install, repair, and replace garbage disposals. If yours is humming but not spinning, it may just need a reset. If the motor has failed, we can usually get a replacement unit in quickly.
